Out of your heart speak

Loop Poetry project

Oh where to find the words
to be out front
expectations weighing down
Asking for fear to be displaced

"out of your heart speak"
"Your heart and mine intertwined"
"declare my heart in this place"
Continue to relinquish the need to please
"Trust the words of the one who resides inside'

Luke 6:45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

where are you

Devastation
Anger
Shock
We don’t understand
What is your plan
 God?
We prayed and cared
Loved and dared
to believe
Still we are told she is to leave
To go where God?
Back to the mess that wasn’t hers
Your name was supposed to be enough
Go after the one
But now it seems to be done
God
DO you weep too?
Will you still yet come through
Hope like a microscopic seed
Is it enough?
you say to ask and plead
by your own blood
What else do you need
Is heaven filling even now with our tears?
Tell us why,
please make it clear
Your word says your plans are higher
Praying yours for her never expire
 Hold them, hold them near
Surround her with angelic protection
God we still need divine intersection

Looppoetryprompt mid week

Listening to my heart

I hear a faint beat
It is well with my soul
This moment at peace
Fear under control
 A sabath treat
 Pursuit of joy
 A space to create
 Not letting emotions toy
 Tomorrows pressures delayed
 Contentment the word for today

Looppoetryprompt the lie

#Looppoetryprompt
The Lie

Wild joy
not mine to obtain.
Legacy of loss,
hope always constrained.
Coasting in neural.
To delight unrestrained?
Desperate for renewal,
for mind and heart to be retrained.
Total blockage removal.
Spinning, dancing, unable to contain
wild, crazy, unusual
to be given a new name
Live as his jewel
Passion to be unchained

Memory

#Looppoetryprompt

Memory
A dreaded word
An elusive place
I reach to touch
It escapes again and again
Uncooperative neurons
Shame sure to follow
Files never found
As if yesterday wasn't
A longing to engage in story
Captive to Frustration
 Today only exists
Blessings in the now
today is here
Which will I choose
Ambivalence or Embracing
An invitation
The gift of the present

#looppoetry prompt inner silence

Dust and slime
From the daily grind
Today rising in unknown Dread
But here now gift of renewing instead
Jesus gently bathes
Wiping away yesterday's haze
Your heart for me
To be presented blameless and holy
This the truth
Exhale, release, breath in the new

#LOOPPOETRYPROMPT Orphan

#LOOPPOETRYPROMPT

Orphan

Question marks punctuating my Brain

Girl left to her own devices

Adolescence bathed in confusion

Always behind trying to figure it out

Divided emotions

Grown up yet little voices chiming in

Are you my mother? wide eyes seeking

Soul crying out How? How do I do this?

One little word whispered among the shouts

Strategy, Strategy given

The spirit my longtime friend

Strategies at my grasp

The mamma I need here with in

a new way of seeing

loop poetry prompt

using poetry for a new way of seeing

A million twinkle lights reflected down from above
Wind powered ripples,  ever moving
Like lightening bugs at dusk, flooding the sky
Ray's shine, electrifying liquid tides
Angels dancing,  skimming the surface
Rhythmic sounds edging the bank
Heaven exploding in front of my eyes
Peace in my soul
Eternal light always there

Everyday things

Loop Poetry Prompts
Everyday things

weather worn
folded and creased
ancient texts
fresh insights
cherished yet too often neglected
Hard to swallow
but nothing else fills
The place where hearts unfold
held by young and old
eternal messages with no sound
heavenly secrets found

Lion of Judah

Marked by the prince
of peace
Formed and forged in quiet
Rumble low and deep
Pressing upward
Sound rising higher
Spirit revealing
Roars releasing
Vibrations resounding
Truth reverberating
Pulsing outward
Audible Force breaking walls
The pride moving in power
Make way for the king
 Lion of Judah

physical distractions

Cells destroying each other
pondering how to recover
spirit desiring to fly
but earthly pulls tie
eyes drawn down
physical distractions drown
Fields of golden stalks now foe
movie theaters never to go
breaking bread and fellowship disabled
always to bring my own provision to the table

above the noisy din
the battle is here within
seeping pain ever reminds
reaching for a hope divine
today needing supply
the well is running dry
this body will decay

spirit entreating step this way
living water flowing
heavenly winds blowing
balm, strength and power
all that's needed for this hour

thanksgiving, worship, praise
gently lifting gaze
stand on healing prayers, cells uniting
Jesus stop the inward fighting

This my body but yours as well
The cross breaking sins spell
Christ's body come together
releasing others from the oppressor
healing in our oneness
Jesus  our compass.

prayer of lament

Prayer of Lament
written for lament service at RCC
6/11/2018

Dear Sovereign, Holy God,
We Thank you  that you are our heavenly father and that we can come to you just as we
are
.We gather tonight to know you more by surrendering to you all our pain, hurts, fears, anger
and tears
Holy spirit open our hearts up, the tight spaces that have difficulty in receiving your love
and pouring it back out
        Teach us Lord Jesus,
Teach us how to give you all,
             Lord God,Teach us to lament.
To cry out from our worldly imprisonments, the entanglement of this world that
permeates our lives stagnating, our growth in you.
We cry out from our poverty of body and spirit, with nothing left to give

We cry out from our lonely desolate places, our broken relationships that seem beyond repair.
We mourn the grip of cancer, sickness and death in us and our loved ones.
We are saddened by the careless destruction and pollution of our lands as well as the
devastation from natural disasters
We cry out for the lost and destitute and for our communities
overwhelmed with the needs around us.
We weep for the  war torn nations
Where hunger and thirst abounds,
We sigh in sorrow for those entrapped by the cycles of addiction
We come to you with our unanswered questions
Lord God when will the injustice of Domestic violence, racism and sexual abuse stop?
Why does evil appear to prevail?
When will our cities stop being filled with death and hopelessness?
Why does hate and greed seem to win the day?
How can we even make a dent in all the sorrows that surround?
How can we the church be so blind?
Why do we feel so helpless?
Lord we invite you to come and overwhelm us with your presence. We surrender our
fear that we are not enough and that you are not enough,
and we say come and have your way.
We are a broken people
grafted into the body, being made whole by your blood and your spirit..
Help us to surrender To You knowing we can find safety in the arms of the one who
knows pain, who carries our pain, and nails it to the cross
We come before you with no answers but simply with our sadness, hurt, bewilderment,
anger, anguish,pain and questions.
Help us tonight to come and bring it all before you Lord, trusting you to hold it and
bring life from dead places.
We ask in Your Sons name, the one who suffered for us,
Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.
Amen.

Sacred Space Prompt

When I am truly still in his presence we “meet” in the quiet of remembrances of childhood moments that use to be marked with shadows but are now safe spaces.

Grassy Hills Beckoning roll down

Flowery Fields to wander 'round

Woolly Blankets spread across the ground

Cloud Formations begging to be found

Jesus' presence now abounds

Familiar places now made sound

the meeting place where mystery becomes unwound

thoughts no longer earthbound

His truth and fellowship  astounds

Fear and worry no longer confounds

the Sacred place his love surrounds

Christ in us Hope of Glory

Christ in us Hope of Glory

Colossians 1:27 “God did this because he wanted you Gentiles to understand his wonderful and glorious mystery. And the mystery is that Christ lives in you, and he is your hope of sharing in God's glory.

What is this Hope of Glory…Christ in us? God is glory, God deserves all the glory.
The very birth, death and resurrection of Jesus was to bring Glory to God the father.
What is it that would bring the Father such glory?  That his very created beings made in his image would be restored unto him.  In Isaiah 43:7 God says, “I want them back, every last one who bears my name, every man, woman, and child Whom I created for my glory, yes, personally formed and made each one.’ “He made us for his glory!

The struggle comes when we who have received this blood gift of reconciliation forget our purpose and identity. We who walk with Christ have been given the deposit of the Holy spirit. This is the living God, Christ in us. But we honor him not. We choose to believe lies over the truth. The lie that we will never be good enough, pretty enough, brave enough etc. We work on the outward and focus on the flesh but what
if we gave our attention to the Holy one who lives in us? If we bring glory to the Father when we do as Jesus and become one with Him, just as he is at one with the father, then let us place our gaze on becoming one with the son. How do we become one? We start by believing who we were created to be. We can grab hold of the promises
as in 2 Peter 1:3-4     “Everything we could ever need for life and complete devotion to God has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness.
4 As a result of this, he has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through he power of these tremendous promises[ you can experience partnership with the divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world.” The triune God resides in us and speaks to us, are we listening to that voice? 2 Corinthians 3:18 says,And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit”. In our prayer time let us focus on
the parts that we recognize as holy and good and worthy, the parts of us that have already been transformed. The mixing of those parts of us that we like and are at peace with are many times the very parts that reflect the nature of Jesus. This process of being transformed into his likeness is a surrendering but it is also embracing
the lovely parts of ourselves. This Christian walk often feels like we must either pretend to be something we are not or deny our true selves. But what if it is more like a melding of what makes us, us, with the holy spirit? Those desires as a child to just run up and hug someone or perhaps the inclination to protect others, these come
from a place that is uniquely you. Our Father in heaven enjoys his creation and calls it good. Who are we to reject his creation? Yes, we have areas under construction, wounds and ungodly beliefs that block our view but instead of focusing on these we can choose to honor how he has created us individually.  Instead of comparing ourselves
and seeing lack, see instead Christ in you Hope of Glory.

Here are some verses to meditate on

Psalm 8:3-6 (CEV)
3 I often think of the heavens
    your hands have made,
and of the moon and stars
    you put in place.
4 Then I ask, “Why do you care
    about us humans?
    Why are you concerned
    for us weaklings?”
5 You made us a little lower
    than you yourself,[a]
    and you have crowned us
    with glory and honor.
6 You let us rule everything
    your hands have made.
And you put all of it
    under our power—

Psalm139:3-6 From the Passion Translation

You are so intimately aware of me, Lord.
You read my heart like an open book

and you know all the words I’m about to speak

unity

 unity

Deception in pointing fault to the others
We join the accuser of our brothers
Break in unity is from the depths of Sheol
Look no further than the tree from which it fell

Seated in the heavenly places
Jesus has provided spaces
Our audience to the father guaranteed by blood
All our words soft or harsh, to the throne flood

Have we like Elijah hidden in fear
Jezebel commanding the atmosphere
Or do we strike down terror
Together under the headship of the reconciler

Have we been building our own tower
And given Babylon the power
Where has flesh impeded
The church's mission to be completed

All cost covered for harmony
The bride to move in unity

Weaker and stronger
Prophets and lamenters
Islands and nations
To be in gospel filled relations

He who has judged says it is done
We are to no longer cast our stones
All to be brought before the king
Praises in one voice to sing

The true enemy earthbound
His children are to make a  heavenly sound
Calling forth his goodness
Speaking to each other in pureness

Where sin has caused erosion
Divisive ways broken
Encouragement and devotion
Building bridges across the oceans

This to be the church's rhythm

To commune in love and wisdom

Shalom

Inspired by the book The Very Good Gospel how everything wrong can be made right by Lisa Sharon Harper.

In the beginning…

The words echo on in hollow reverberation
Creator creating all creation
All declared good/Tov’
Shalom between all and God
Gift of harmonious fellowship
This was true stewardship

Doubts and fears, you know the rest
Sin and separation now to be subject

Created intent twisted and bent
Broken relations between people and places
Humans and land enduring degradation

Enter Jesus with reconciliation
Giving hope to the generations

Still the picture distorted
Religion and law enforced
Harmony busted
Domination and corruption

Forgotten the command for us to carry on his redemption
On earth as it is in heaven

Today given daily bread

Today we walk and take back the land

To govern with love and light

To march into darkness and fight for what’s right

Dominion given back into the hands of the oppressed

God given ability to steward like all the rest

Balance being restored in order to connect

Uniting creator and creation as it was in the beginning.

Shalom (Hebrewשָׁלוֹם shalom; also spelled as sholomsholemsholoimshulem) is a Hebrew word meaning peaceharmonywholenesscompletenessprosperitywelfare and tranquility and can be used idiomatically to mean both hello and goodbye.[1][2][3]

Genesis 26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.” 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.” 29 And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. 31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.

Was It worth it?

Was it worth it?

From the beginning, your delight and love for your creation
The joy to be able to talk and walk with your beloved
but so quickly came our sinful separation
That fateful day when your heart first broke
now the only option Segregation

Oh That we should doubt your goodness
How did it grieve you that we chose our own path?

Yet still you walked with those who walked with you
until evil overtook the land
To a few the promise to continue
But to contend with violent creation
Now to wash your earth anew

Yet we did what we saw fit to do

Still, you pursued mankind
creating a people, set apart
ever trying to intersect flesh and the divine
making covenants that we would break again and again
Holy God Declaring these are mine

Yet we did not return to you

Waiting for us to turn about
Your desire that we would want you
So, you could come and campout
Then you dared to speak to one in the wilderness
Displays of wonder that should erase all doubt

Yet we wandered away from you

Your chosen ones turning to idols
Waiting for even one king to walk with you
Your people feeling entitled
In your compassion you sent your prophets
Warning of Catastrophe and trials

And yet we still did not return

Aching in Silence stretching on for hundreds of years
And at the appointed time you reached your right arm down
So, the way would be clear
The payment for our unfaithfulness
Jesus the only one who could volunteer

Still, we rejected your gift

Do you ever wonder if it was worth it?
If we were worth it?
Does it grieve you more that we stumble and fail?
Or is it that we have not believed in the depth of your love and forget the call that says come back?
Yet it is your joy as our loving father to patiently wait for your children
Beckoning them into the banquet knowing the fee has been paid
You rejoice when even one of your lost ones comes home
You say that you so loved the world that you gave your only begotten son
Though the cost was great, our assurance is this, that your desire for us is even greater.

“For the Lord takes delight in his people” (Psalm 149:4 NIV). “He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing” (Zephaniah 3:17 NIV).
So “Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends, from beginning to end. He did not give up because of the cross! On the contrary, because of the joy that was waiting for him, he thought nothing of the disgrace of dying on the cross, and he is now seated at the right side of God's throne.

1 Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 fixing our eyes. 3 For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you may not grow weary and lose heart
