Unheard Voices revisited

Unheard Voices:
Voices hushed in fear;
Swords and guns intimidating,
Ripped away all that is dear.

Words stuffed down deep;
Abusive relationships compressing,
Left with emotions to raw to keep.

Songs stolen midstream;
Ripped away in violence,
Praying the nightmare is only a dream.

Pleas and cries going unheard;
Blinders and greed overtaking,
Used and abused, hope becoming blurred.

Freedom lost in political pollution;
Exchanging for oppression,
Lies lifted up, liberty only an allusion.

Hopelessness and isolation;
All communication blocked,
Blamed and filled with self-recrimination.

Who will give voice to the voiceless?
Voices needing just one someone, to battle, love, provide safety and freedom for.
Voices needing an ear to hear and eyes to see to let loose the songs of the oppressed.

Psalm 146:7-9
He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The Lord sets prisoners free, the Lord gives sight to the blind, the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down, the Lord loves the righteous. The Lord watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.

Psalm 68:5
Father to the fatherless, defender of widows--this is God, whose dwelling is holy.

Jeremiah 29:12 “Call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you."
